NSB-CRASH-AN-INDIAN-WEDDINF-2018-SFHave you ever wanted to crash an Indian wedding party, where you walk into a room filled with bright beautiful outfits, arms in the air, contagious music as the dancing becomes an expression of the joyous occasion? Join the Non Stop Bhangra crew as we take you on a journey to experience an Indian wedding party filled with rich colors, dancers, drummers, djs, live singing, sweets, henna, visuals, live art and more. Imagine a scene from a Bollywood movie smack in the middle of a thumping nightclub, swirling colors, the rhythm of pounding feet, relentless energy, and brilliant beats-that’s Non Stop Bhangra!

The night’s journey will take off with our “Baraat Mob” street procession with live instruments (starting at 14th & Valencia at 9pm) dancing our way to the venue followed by an interactive Bhangra dance lesson and beautiful performances by Dholrhythms Dance Company.

The festivities will continue with a special live featuring powerhouse singer Riffat Sultana accompanied by bandmates Richard Michos and Gurdeep Hira. Channeling the musical wisdom of 500 years and eleven generations of master vocalists from India and Pakistan, Riffat is the first woman from her family’s musical lineage to publicaly perform in the west.

To round out the night, Non Stop Bhangra residents DJs Jimmy Love, Rav-E, and Nix will be on the turntables to keep the dance floor grooving all night while dholi dev adds energy to the mix with bangin dhol beats. Complementary Indian sweets and snacks will fill tease the taste buds of early arrivers while your eyes are treated to walls of visuals plus live painting by Artist Marcus Murray. Beautiful henna art will be availalbe for purchase for those that want some beauty painted on them to remember the night.

So much more than just a club night, Non Stop Bhangra has truly turned into one of a kind cultural experience only found in the Bay Area. So put on your dancing shoes and come crash the party.

The theme this month is “Indian Wedding Party” so bring out your inner bollywood glam and come in your most colorful desi wedding inspired style.
